Resume help...?

So, I need some help in setting up the right template for an apprenticeship. Problems is that I have been in the restaurant industry for about 6 years as a waitress to be able to pay school. With that it has left me unable to find internships in my field of interest which is graphic design.
Now, I recently had the opportuity to become an apprentice to a graphic designer and she would like a resume. I did tell her t hat I had no previous experience and she said that was fine. However, I do have some experience in working with layouts from high school when I was apart of the yearbook staff. Aside from that I have nothing. I am soon to transfer to a Texas for a degree in Communication Design. The emphasis on that program ranges from graphic desing, Illustration, marketing to advertising. It's an amazing program with a little bit of everything, which I just lovr. I know for a fact this is my calling. I have an eye for out for desing, pattern, advertising etc...
