How can i pick a career i like?

i want to work with teens. talking about sex and protection and STD's and stuff like that. so what should i go to collage for?

talking to minors about sex? you'd better have a degree. If you want to be able to talk to them more about pregnancy and contraception, st diseases and symptoms, study nursing. If you want to talk to them more about personal relationships, saying no, alternatives to intercourse and answering questions about sexuality, get a degree in social work, or counseling. With a bachelor's in social work you can start working right away in the field of your choice because it's very practical. You can work in child protection, work with kids in foster care, Independent Living Skills programs too. And you won't need a license or master's degree necessarily, though it's recommended. With a bachelor's in counseling you won't get very far without licenses and graduate degrees, like MFT, where you'd have to be an intern for a while and work underneath someone for superivion for a few years before you can be a freelancer.

With a master's in each field you can go to work in a school, but as a counselor you'll work on choosing classes. As a school social worker you'll work for the district and work with students more one-on-one about mental health, social skills, problem solving skills.

Don't think twice about going to college. It's a must have in tomorrow's world no matter where you are.
