Wheres the money on these jobs- childcare or catering?? |
i can have a choice on what course i can do as they both provide free creche. im very interested in both courses and cant make up my mind in what to do. ive been to both a couple of times to make up my mind on what to go for but both seem very interesteing and am wanting to do both. thing is i cant do both and need to choose one. i suppose i can do one first and the other next year but am worried that i'll do one and wont bother with the other and just get a job. so am wondering on the possitive and negatives on the jobs. just wanting to know which will likely keep me in work, which is better payed and which will be a good thing to go out and do? i start next week and need help to make up my mind in which to do. reason why i cant do both together is ecause ones in morning and the others in afternoon- its too unseettling for kids to be in creche all day and like to spend thime with kids so dont have time to revise on coursework for two courses. I would stay away from childcare. I don't believe it pays as well and what if something happens to a child or the child lies about you? This is a lawsuit happy society. That is why my nephew did not become a teacher. He said if a child was crying because they hurt themselves or were scared it is want as a father to hold the child or hug it to make it feel more comfortable. But you only need one parent who sees everything wrong to be sued and lose your life. As for catering? Just think of how much dinners at a wedding cost. You might lose out on a client who insists their meals weren't good enough but that is not as big of a deal. Use my sister's example from her waitress days: She walks over to a table and the spaghetti on a plate went down the front and into the lap of the customer. Silence. "You did order spaghetti, didn't you?" she said. She paid cleaning bills but didn't lose her job. And we still get a laugh out of that one.... |
