I'm 33 years old and working as a Receptionist.Am I too old to work my way up to being an executive Secretary?

I am a bilingual receptionist and a very good worker. I do more than what I should do to help the attorneys. I have been working for this company for one year and I 'm only getting paid $8 an hour. I feel I deserve a raise, but I can't find a way on how to ask for it. HELP!!

You're not too old to 'work your way up', but you may need to go elsewhere to do it. How likely is it that there will be an opening in your firm in the near future? Inquire about that and if you can't be told anything definitive, you may want to consider beginning to look elsewhere.
