To whom the service gratuity is paid?

There are two types of gratuity i.e
1) Retirement Gratuity and
2) Death Gratuity

In both the types gratuity is given for half month's last pay drawn for each completed years of service. The minimum service should be for 1 (one) year.

In case of employment in private sector minimum 10 workers are required in an organisation and it depends on terms of employment but in case of government it is to be paid according to the post held.
there r two portion of gratuity i.e. death gr. and service gr. death gr. is paid who died in ser. but the portion of the service gr. is paid who died in or retired from sdervice.
Any body who has completed a minimum of 3 years of clean service. Amount of gratuity is same for al government companies whereas it defers widely in private companies
Service gratuity is paid to a permanent employee on superannuation or 33 years of service
