Work bullies-what to do about this...........?

There is an office bully at my job, she is the facilities mgr., she picks on a lot of people, however, no one ever says a word to the H.R. Mgr. who doesn't like dealing with employee issues, thus caursing the front office to be disoranized. Today my boss (H.R. Mgr) said that the facilites mgr complained that I wasn't greeting people when the come in and to start doing that, I told her, I do, do that but the facilities mgr gets there first, she just said to do better. I later passed this on to the facilities mgr. who said she knew I did but can't hear me greeting people as they come in (her desk is 2 desk away from mine) that I should be louder. She'll find more complaints about me, I'm PT the girl who sits at my desk in the afternoon, now sits somewhere else because of this women. I want to have a talk with my boss about her, about me being accussed of not doing my job which I am, I'm always watching my back, living in fear now, what can I do, there are no other higher ups.

There is a way.Iam a mgr and I sometimes deal with that in the work place. But, if the H.R. Mgr dosnt do anything or dont want to deal with it then i would go to someone higher then him. If that does not work I would call the labor board. Good luck.
aah my dear, welcome to the schoolyard meets the office.

You gotta toughen up. Don't even concern yourself with what this person thinks, work with confidence and strut your **** like nobody's business, and take care of business everyday, and I mean actually do it...PERFORM. If you do that, everyone knows, the boss, the other employees, everyone. You can work on their level, or work at yours, it's your choice.
There is only one way to deal with a work bully without seeming unprofessional. Just act like the idiot she treats you like. Every time she asks you to do anything just mess with her and ask,"what do you mean? Will you show me?" And see how stupid she feels. Or you can totally exaggerate it and yell, "good morning!!!" to your customers whenever she's on the phone or something. We do this to a guy at work and then laugh about it all day when he's gone.
A very confusing question.. but..
If this is a small office situation GET OUT!! If you are with a larger Corporation there is always somewhere else to turn to.
If you are really stuck contact your State Employment Agency and ask for HELP!
I have been (I think, it was confusing) in the same situation and your State can help.
I answered like you are in the USA! but that is all I know.
Unless the HR Manager is the owner of the company, there is most certainly a higher up.

The HR Manager's JOB is to help deal w. issues just like this. If that person is not doing their job in this regard, you need to go above their head.
seriously, the answer is start sending out resume, while it is still a bit cool. Once it is hot, meaning you can't take it anymore, your leaving the company will not be sweet and it will be hard to get referrals. So,,, so go now. Start filing and application next door. Then learn from this experience. Keep your cool, smile a lot even though they are backstabbing you, then say goodbye.
