How can i get a job? i was a bookkeeping for 26 years in my country, i now all at office, i need work? |
I live in Toronto, I come a year ago, I have great resume, please help me!! my first lenguage is spanish Wow, a spanish speaking bookkeeper! I know Canada may not have the spanish population the US has but it still has to be fairly high. 26 years of bookkeeping. If I were you I would start going around to small businesses, family owned shops restaurants, window cleaning companies. I would target small business in the 2 to 4 year area. They have been around long enough to realize they need help with stuff like books. Or they have been around long enough to realize they might be around awhile and had better get their books in order. You are in a unique position because you are of spanish descent of some type, therefore you can more relate to business owners in this category. To clarify, I mean approach these business owners from the aspect of doing contract work for them. Coming in once a week, month, quarterly etc. to do the work thier CPA would charge double to do. I did not mean approaching these people for a 'steady job'. Bookkeeping is the best skill around. Are you legal to work? If so, you should go to an employmant agency, they'll hire you in a minute. |
