I need a job??

I live in Washington DC and I have been out of work for the past year. I have been on plenty of interviews and no one calls me back. Now everybody around me works and I sit in the house all day. I can't afford the things I want and it really makes me feel worhtless. It is so hard for me to do anything now. Can someone help me???PLEASE HELP ME???

go to a temp agency
you'll have an interview with them (but its more like when can you work, what field would you like to work in, what kind of work, your skills/degrees), bring your resume, you will also have to fill out a W4 form.
they are always looking for temps, so you WILL get placed in a job. (they call the morning of)
you go to the place given and they train you.
usually you will become permanent but if you don't who cares, you did work and got paid for it. ($ by the hr)
Check and see if they have an employment commision in DC.
Just calm down and take it easy. I went through the same thing a while ago. Keep looking and keep going to job interviews something will come up for you. Always think back on the Interview and see if there was something you could've done or said better so you will know for the next interview! Also the following day send them a thank you card just to say thank you for their time I know that helps a lot. Good Luck!
get online stuff going, start your own company, get a basic job at a department store or a fast food chain to get some experience, also hit up the local employement agencies to get more stuff going, register with as many as you have near you and u'll be amazed at what they can place you in.

my website is on my profile if you are interested
This may not help you much but I am in the same situation and can only serve to encourage you to continue to hang in there. I too live in Washington DC and i understand the job market here. My circumstance however stem from other personal issues which i am addressing right now, such as poor work history and substanse abuse. But i know there are jobs out there and i will get one. What sort of work or you interested in? I also went to the One Stop office on Rhode Island & Franklin st. and am getting postive assistance from them from their conselors and online job bank. You may want to check them out. I would also like to offer you my email address but i don;t know a safe way to do this, do you? I hope this encourages you.
If you have a home computer and your own email account and you really are serious please email me there is no money involved and no fees for you to pay...but you must be serious and this posting must be serious...
Here in Australia, we can ask for interview feedback from the people/person who were on the interview panel interviewing us.
If you do this, it will help you to see if you are doing something wrong and you could try to improve your interviews in the future, especially if a couple of interviewers say the same thing. Just call them a week or so later to ask, as by then they would most likely have made their decision on who they want. You could start by asking if they've made their decision yet and take it from there. Good luck.
