Ok guys, Invterview tomorrow, what should I ask, what should my final question be, what should I avoid?

The position is for Human Resource Director in a manufaturing facility.

Here is a great post that should help you begin to formulate questions you should ask the interviewer, especially if you want the position.

My favorite question to ask in an interview is "how do you define success over the first 30, 60, 90 days." This is a great question to ask because it will help you understand how you will be measured. It will help you understand whether they have put any thought into goals and objectives for this new employee.

That is VERY important information to know as you make a decision about whether this is the right job for you!

Your final question should be asking about next steps. http://www.interviewchatter.com/from-int... Source(s): http://www.interviewchatter.com...
One of my final questions is always "What are the qualities a person would need to be successful in this position?" and usually they tick off everything I said.."Well, like you mentioned earlier, motivated...etc"
It really depend on how good the interviewer is. Usually they cover most of the bases.

I always make sure at the end that I ask for a number in case I should think of any questions later. Thank them for their time, and I think it is a nice touch to send a thank you note in a day or two.

You don't want to sound too "me" centered, only asking about salary & benefits. Perhaps you can show some interest in what the company is manufacturing. Make sure you go to their website before hand so you have a clue what they are all about.

Good luck! When I graduate college in about a year, I want exactly that type of job at the fiber optics manufacturer I work for.
What are the challenges?
Unique HR requirements or training gaps?
% of tenure employees or retention rate?
Request to browse the manufacturing area.
What the immediate issue need to be resolved?
I am going through the same thing tomorrow I have a few questions that I am going to ask. Maybe you can pick a few.

If I am extended a job offer, how soon would you like me to start?
What are some of the more difficult problems one would have to face in this position?
What advancement opportunities are available for the person who is successful in this position, and within what time frame?
Is this job opening due to growth or replacement?
What benefits are provided to your employees?
What are the most important skills and attributes you are looking for in filling this position?
When will you be making a decision on this position?
What would you consider to be exceptional performance from someone performing in this position in the first 90 days?
What can I tell you about my qualifications?
When can I expect to hear from you?
Are there any other questions I can answer for you?
You will want to ask what their current rate of turnover is manufacturing companies have always had a high turnover rate you want to know what measures have been taken to curve that number downwards. You will want to ask what the next step is in the hiring process, and the last question I always ask is When are you expecting to make a decision, and when should you expect to hear from them? If you are bold you will ask if the interview you will reccomend you for the position, that is the ultimate closer. If he should ask Are there any other questions you hav for me? Say tha tyou want to make sure tha the knows that you are interested in furthering the process and that< (give him a bragging point right here to leave him on a positive note regarding your experience or what you can do for them. Use his first name when starting the sentence), do not let it run on long just a quickie and get out. Dont forget his card, nor his email if it is not on there for the thank you note later that day. Have a plan of action when you go in as to how you can improve things and do not forget your MSA's at your last company. have fun relax adn remember that you earned the interview and you are the best fit for the job. Good Luck
