How would i word it? |
i am trying to have a killer resume and i am doing it myself i have been a clerical secretary for 3 years no formal training needed but i have learned my way around a computer pretty well i am doing a part of the app that asks about my skills what can i say that will look attractive to the recruiter?? First of all, since you are applying for a clerical job, your resume is literally the proof that you can do the job, therefore, make sure it is PERFECT.... no spelling or grammatical errors at all. Second, just list your skills as you have used them in previous positions. All you should do on a resume is list, not write sentences. For example: Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint; Type 60 WPM; Multi-line telephone; and Customer Service Your resume is simply a summary, not an essay. They want it to be brief. For a template, google resume templates and you should find plenty of sites to help you out. Good luck! Correct punctuation and capitalzation would be nice. For your skills, list every tiny little thing you have learned. For example: 3 years experience with multi line phone system (name the system if there is a name), experience with Microsoft Office, etc... Take a look at the want ads for jobs in your field and see what they are asking for. Try to tailor your resume around those qualities. |
