What would you do if you had a boss who yelled a whole lot when mad? Talk to him about it when he is calm, some people are just like that, they don't mean to be but they are. Tell him that it is difficult to understand what he is angry about when he is yelling. He will either try to change, or fire you which may not be bad. Just take the verbal abuse and cry when I get home. Can't really yell back cuz that will make things even worse. This sounds like harassment to me. Many people make the mistake of thinking that, if it's not sexual in nature, it's not harassment, and that's just not true. Bullying, creating a hostile work environment - those are harassment too. Go to either your boss's manager or to HR and let them know what's going on. They need to talk to your boss before someone decides to file a harassment suit. Your company is obligated to conduct a fair and confidential investigation, and can not retaliate against you for filing a complaint. Don't just take it, because it will not get better unless someone does something about it. |
