When sending a long distance fax at my office do I have to dial 1 first or just 9.? |
assuming they get unlimited long distance. I know when I use the phone long distance, I dial 9 first, but I don't know about 1. You will probably need to press '9' first in order to get an outside line, then dial a '1' plus the number you're calling. press 1 first Depends on how your phone system is setup. A lot of companies have their fax line separated from their phone system with a dedicated line. In that case, just a 1 would suffice. In any case, it would take you less than a minute to figure out which way it is by testing it. 9 first, 1 second. It depends on how your fax system is set up. At my work, we use # 8, area code, phone number for long distance; both for fax and telephone. Local is 9 (line out) then the phone #. Just ask. |
