Any managers out there? can you review my resume and give suggestions!? |
My name and info of course @ top Objective: To explore a new career that will allow me the opportunity to grow with the company. Qualifications: I have excellent customer service skills, I enjoy working with people and I have a very positive attitude. Education: Dobson High School Mesa, Az. 2001-2003 Relevant Experience: Alliance Residential, Biscayne Bay apartments Leasing Consultant, 09/2006-02/2007 -Toured apartments to our prospects and maintained a closing ratio of 30% or higher. -Ran credit checks, verifications and necessary clerical work. -Handled all resident issues in a professional matter. Mark Taylor Residential, San Cierra apartments Leasing Consultant, 12/2005-09/2006 -Toured apartments to our prospects and maintained a closing ratio of 30% or higher. -Ran credit checks, verifications and necessary clerical work. -Handled all resident issues in a professional matter. (the rest wont fit!, see my additional notes) My notes would be grammatical - you don't tour an apartment to a prospect. That barely makes sense, and you are using "tour" as an active verb, when it should be used as a noun. You gave property tours to prospective tenants. Also, apartment should be capitalized when it is the name of a property, like "San Cierra Apartments". Lastly, try to find a little variety in your job duties - they look like they were copies and pasted - if the jobs were identical, why did you leave? My only issue is that you seem to jump jobs a lot - 3 in two years - that would be a red flag for me - and I probably wouldn't hire you I think that it sounds good, just don't forget the cover letter & the follow up thank you note when you get interviewed! Be sure to address the discrepancies in your resume in the cover letter! 1 year asst mgr @ a truckstop. I think your resume looks very professional. However, I would change the end to "References available upon request." Good job and more importantly, good luck! If you told me you were "self-motivated and had a drive for results in a sales environment" then I would hire you!! They just had on the news today (local) that one of the best thing you can put on your resume is what you have did or can do to sace the company money. A resume is usually one page.If it's too long, it's trashed. :-}) |
