Interview questions?

I have a distaste for a few of the typical interview questions. I need help with the two major ones. The ones about what are your weaknesses and what are your strengths. I don't have any answers for weakness, and for strengths I thought I would use the items highlighted on my resume. Can anyone assist me with weaknesses- it's a front desk position. So I need answers pertaining to the front desk/ receptionist position. Please help! thanks and God bless

When stating a perceived weakness, you must make it sound like a strength...
"My desire to help people is so strong, I have to pay attention to myself not to do too much for others."
"I tend to work briskly (a little fast), so I'm careful to pace myself so my work will last as long as it's supposed to."
"I'm very conscientious about my job performance, sometimes I have to make an effort to keep my attention on my own business."
They'll love having you on their team.
Weaknesses have to be something you can turn around to your advantage i.e. you might be a perfectionist and can get annoyed if things are not done properly.
i sometimes try too hard to impress, i never want to be looked down upon
I happen to be a receptionist so when they ask about your weakness say that you aren't real familar with some obscure computer program they probably dont use anyway like lotus or peachtree.
I have trouble with those too, at least the last time I interviewed which is over 10 years ago. I guess the trick is to turn a weakness into a strength. Also, customize your intereview to the job and company. Learn about the company and their goals, find out their mission statement if they have one.
If you're good at BS'ing, you could say your weakness is some sort of overachieving such as being too organized. Say that you've been accused of being overly organized but that you are consciously working on taming it down.
It could be perceived as a weakness to some.
You want to turn your weakness into a "strength." I don't work on any weaknesses to remove them or make them better, but in describing a weakness, try to make it sound more like a strength.

For example, my weakness is my stubbornness. But, in interviewing, I say that I'm very determined and detail-oriented, that I don't like to give up on a project at the first sign of problems, that I like to see it through either until the end or until it becomes impossible.
