Should I quit my job? |
I like my job and some people that I work with, but there's this one lady(co-worker) that annoys the hell out of me..I've about had it..I've put up with her sh_t for the last few months and I can't take it no more...she's lucky I'm not like her and I'm a patient person..plus I am a little intimidated by her because she's a big woman and very short-tempered...my boss doesn't really like me either...I can tell because he greets everyone in the morning except me...wtf? Anyways, I know I'm not perfect, but I do try my best in everything that I do..so if doing my best isn't good enough for them, I think I'm going to leave for good..the co-worker yells at me for minor mistakes that I seldom make or just because she feels like it..she just doesn't like me..she treats me different from this other girl that works with me..she's a lot nicer to her and not to me...the boss doesn't realize that I'm trying to do my job right and as best as I could...so what do you think? I don't deserve this.... If I were you I would start job searching right away. It is usually easier to find a job when you already have one. In the meantime, I would try talking to your boss about the problem with the co-worker. If you don't feel comfy talking to him, then find someone that you could talk to confidentially. Not unless you have something else lined up...... If you've been there less than a year, try to stick it out for a year and then search for a new job and exit on a friendly basis. The key is to stay for at least a year and leave on a good note, that way you can use them for a reference. Now if you've been at this job awhile and really you like it with the exception of a few people, just stay and do your best to adjust your own attitude to avoid and deal with those rude people. Never let any one person deter you from your job security. You may leave, find another job with worse people. There's usually always some office skank that makes life miserable for those around him/her. I hate to tell you this but there are going to be problems everywhere you go in life. There is always going to be that one person that annoys you in any job. It is how you deal with and handle the situation. Life is like a bunch of hurdles in track, as soon as you jump one there is another. So, you see, once you get over one obstacle there is another waiting up ahead. If you feel it is to the point that your going to lose control and go off then remain there until you find another job. I know, I been there, and I feel ya. Don't quit just yet and put yourself in a financial burden. Good luck, I wish you the best. No! Yo ushould never just quit a job without having another job offer. It sounds to me like they are trying to run you outta there and your gonna let them do it! The next tieme she yells are you... (this will be hard the first couple of times but)Just smile and say, "no problem. I can fix that" I have noticed that this works very well. It pissed the other person off!!! and you feel so good inside! good luck make a "will work for food" sign and quit Think about it. Why don't they like you? sounds like you are not happy there. I would quit the job, but after I found something better that I would like to do. If you don't quit, they are probably trying to make you quit and they will set you up to make it look like it is your fault, like what happened to me. I was run out of my job after 20 years, forced to retire by a new administrator that did not like me. I ended up retireing with a vested retirement. But he did make me look bad to everyone. I was always faithful to my job and loved it, however, beware of these mean people. I was set up by a girl that I thought was my friend. She turned on me and said I was herassing her, and I really was not!! She would not stick up for me because she wanted my job! And she got it!!!! I was humiliated! Please, get out of the job before things get turned around and you get blamed for something! |
