What is the best way to list that you were a stay-at-home mother on your resume? Hello! I think bluntly stated would be just. I think a lot of us sahm's don't give ourselves enough credit. Being a stay at home mom is a very good indication that you can multi-task and have a tollerance. I'm not sure how many kids you have,(i have 5)but I can give you some wonderful info on making you home safer and healthier. Source(s): www.workathomeunited.com/amy78 How about domestic engineer!! Or self employed. Domestic Goddess homemaker You do not list this on your resume. It is not work history. You cover this in your cover letter and point up the fact that you are returning to the workforce after having your children. From: jobsearch.about.com/od/resumes... What did you do while you weren't employed? Did you freelance or consult? How about volunteering? All those experiences count as work and can be included on your resume. List them as you would list your other jobs - with job title, company name, job description, and dates of employment. If you took a class, you can list that in the Education section of your resume. When you have employment gaps that don't fit on your resume (you took time off to care for an aged parent or to raise a child) use your cover letter to explain the gap. That way, the employer will know that there's an explanation for you being out of the workforce. |
