Which is a better job; retail or a business office? Why? |
I'm want to quit retail and work in an office. Do you think working in a business office will be easier than retail? And by easier, I mean, do you think that at the end of a day of work, will I be frustrated, exhausted, and feel like I've been mistreated? PLEASE! Do not tell me to start my own business, and no, I DO NOT want to buy one of your franchises or get involved in a pyrimid scheme. I'd say office over retail. Retail jobs have you working weekends and holidays whereas office jobs are monday-friday and holidays off. You might feel that way depending on where you work. You can also find a great job where you feel satisfied with what you accomplished. I'd always go for office work over retail. the answer is in you. it is up to you. your ability is your support to choose what job suit to you.as for me i am a spa therapist, last time i also doing office work but i quit after a few years.office are the most boring place compared to my job now there is no strees anymore and furthermore i earn bigger money. If you can mix well with just anyone, a retail job would be more interesting. Office means an enclosed environment and you only get to meet with the same group of people day in day out (unless your office requires you to meet with potential clients). If you have problems dealing with ppl, it would be the same whichever job you do. No business office is 100% free from office politics - which could be more hurting. I'm an old fart ... and I also work in an industry that helps injured people find jobs. There is no such thing as one being easier over the other. There are no promises about how you will feel at the end of the day. It has much more to do with your attitude and business style of your employer than it does with the industry you work in. It is the match of these two things ... a willing worker, and an understandinng employer that make a job "easy" and "fun". Good luck on your quest to find that .. those jobs ARE out there .. but sometimes you have to pound the beat to find them! |
