Administrative resume objective? |
I'm applying for an administrative job, I'm in school now, this would be my first office job (hopefully) and I really want a good objective sentence. The one I have now is kinda bland. It's like "Seeking an administrative job that I can excel at while using the skills that I have and am learning. " I want to add more to the sentence and have it sound a lot better. Any sugestions? This will be a good one i hope!!!! To obtain a career that utilizes my excellent Office skills and that challenges me, and allows room for advancement. A challenging career as a company administrator. I'm horrible at these, but I'll give it a whirl. How about... An interesting and challenging administrative role that allows me to use my current skillset while inspiring me to continue to learn and grow. Try to tailor your resume (and objective) to the industry you are applying for. Instead of just your objective as an administrative assistant, also make your objective their particular environment. Objectives are obsolete. You don't need one. Start your resume with a list of your skills. I do two side by side lists: Professional Skills and Computer Skills. An objective statement really just tells them what YOU want. They don't care what you want, they care what THEY want and what you can do for them. I agree with the poster who said they are obsolete. There is no need for an objective on a resume. |
