What do YOU do when you are bored at work? |
i have an office job where duties are split between my co-worker and i and i am bored with nothing really to do right now. i can only websurf for so long and thats becoming a chore. if all else fails i will ask for more work to do. Well, you should NEVER tell your boss that you are bored! Simply telling him/her that "it's slow" or you have "down time" is good. Asking for more work is good. In the past I've always tried to look busy. I rarely use the internet on the job. The best thing to do is get more work from your boss. Source(s): I've been bored at my job plenty of times. Go to youtube or something....look at stuff you use to look at when you were young maybe as a child....or sites where it helps you kill some time....killsometime.com...bre... kill some time also by talking to your co-worker... Ask your co-worker if you can help her with anything. Ask your manager if he/she has anything extra for you to do and if not, if he/she would mind you asking another department if they have a project for you to do. This kind of project seeking and openness to cross training will get you noticed in a positive way and will result in a brighter future. what do you think i'm doing here? i listen to music on my computer really softly, but msotly it's the internet, i answer questions like these, i surf facebook, and i reserach whatever catches my fancy which right now is international travel. can't really help you, i'm in the same situation, the internet is the only thing to do. answer questions, go to youtube, surf I'm doing it right now:-) |
