If fired in the state of texas, regardless of the reason, are you stilll entitled to be paid on vacation time? |
that you didnt take? Only if your company's policy indicates thusly. There are no laws governing pay for anything other than time worked, unless a company policy dictates otherwise. Usually no. it depends on the company. you can however collect unemployment. Not usually. Most companies specifically state that you forfeit your paid time off when you are terminated voluntarily or INvoluntarily -- sorry. When you sign the acknowledgement of company policy, you agree to all that is enclosed. I would go through the policies to get a better understanding of what you are entitled to. By law companies are not required to offer paid vacation to their employees. Whether or not you will get the unused portion of your paid vacation depends primarily on company policy and possibly the reason you were fired. If you were fired with cause don't count on getting your unused vacation pay. i dont know you would hav eto check with your former employer, i wouldnt think so though |
