Started new job permanently but? |
Ive started working full time, it was a work placement with my course but when i finished college my employer decided to keep me on. But i have come to a decision where i really don't like it there i've tried my hardest to like it and eveyerone keeps saying to me to stick it because it's a good job but i'm trying i really am but i don't know how much longer i can stick it there. Some of the people arn't very nice, they close the door and whisper when you know they are talking about you i get the blame for everything when i work hard there and even miss my hour break because im trying to complete urgent jobs but i stillb get treated like dirt. When im given tasks to complete i'm always called away to do something else and i get a row for that then, it's like i have to be in two places at once when i can't. I know it's hard to find administration jobs thats why i'm trying to stick this out but some of the people are really upseting me i come home and im really upset. I know it's hard to find administration jobs thats why i'm trying to stick this out but some of the people are really upseting me i come home and im really upset. Is there anything i could do? I really am at my whitts Make an appointment to talk to your boss about it all...tell them calmly that you are being pulled in too many directions and that you feel that you need your tasks to come in from one or at most two people...and that you ned a lunch break. In the meantime start looking for another job...it's only a job...we spend too much of our life working for other people...we have to be happy at work or it's simply a waste of our time. If you are truly unhappy there, find someplace to work. It is not worth it to stay at a place you are unhappy at. If it is not a good fit talk to the placement counselor at your school and maybe they can find a better match for you. good luck. Do not stay in a job you can't stand. Start looking for something else. Use Monster.Com (I have had a ton of luck with it.) Ask friends and family if they know of anything for you. Trust me, you do not want to look back on your twenties and say to yourself "Why?". It's not worth waking up to dread you day. Go for it. It sounds like you just need a little push...you know what is right for you. It may be a good job, but while you are young and you can try new things, do it. It will be the same wherever you go. everyone is understaffed and overworked. If you start job jumping now it will negatively affect you for years in trying to get new jobs. Try and stay at this one for 2 yrs - It will help immensely Find a new job and quit this one! If it is a hostile work environment file a complaint with the state if you don't get your break-----> tell your boss under Federal Statute you are required a 30 min for every 6 hours you work. I you feel like it is harassment or discrimination file a report with the EEOC 1800-669-4000 even though they tell you its a good job, you are the only one that can decide if its a good job for you. if you arent happy, start looking for something else. it might not directly be in your field but at least you wont be there anymore. besides you dont owe them nothing to stay. good luck! Talk with your employer.He/she may help if they value your work commitment. If you get no joy there then look for another job.You spend most of your life at work so you need to,at least, enjoy where you work.Good luck. |
