What is back-office of an airline???



buddies...actually i just gave the interview of an airline.....
i gave the interview for voice process....but i was selected for back-office..........
what is it actually...........
tell me what do i have to do there.........
is it relates to accounting or somthing...n also i have my last round tomorrow....
i have'nt done any preparation for it...
coz i'm a fresher so i donno what does this back office is...
n definetely last round will be abt back-office.........
plz tell me what kinda ques the HR can put in front of me tomorrow.

back-office is a joke slang word in airline industry.

it refer to the lavatory on the plane
I don't know exactly what they do, but back office relates to a desk job where you are probably processing a lot of information and doing a lot of computer work. There may be accounting and reconcing to be done and obviously to do with receiving payment for flights and doing all the associated paperwork. Just ask them lots and lots of questions to explain the job to you. You will not look silly, they want prospective employees to ask lots of questions.
