How do I get out of this dilemma? |
I've been flirting with the secretary at work for some time now, and not only has she been receptive, but has been flirting quite a bit herself. So this past week, I decided to take it up a notch, and I slipped a naked picture of myself in her briefcase as it was sitting beside her desk, with a note on it asking if she liked what she saw. As it turns out, our boss has a briefcase that looks exactly like hers and had leaned it up against her desk that morning while he went off to the coffee machine. So, instead of placing the picture in her briefcase, I put it into his by mistake. Well, now he's coming onto me, as he apparently is gay. Ironically, I never saw that one coming, he's married with a couple of kids. How do I let him down easily without hurting his feelings or loosing my job? First off this sounds bogus. Wrong briefcase? Yeah, right. Second, we don't know what kind of flirting was really going on or even if it was all in your imagination. A naked photo of oneself is tantamount to sexual harrassment. You sound so gay. You should find yourself a guy already and stop writing your fantasy in Yahoo Answers. Ok - you have got to be kidding. If this is true and you think that a woman would enjoy seeing a naked picture of you, you are totally crazy. I would be so grossed out and freaked if someone did that to me - even if I was flirting. It's sick. Didn't this happen to George on "Seinfeld" once? There's no easy way to do this. You're going to have to sit your boss down and politely tell him the truth. It's going to be awkward as hell, and there's nothing you can do about it. By now I hope you realized what a STUPID, STUPID thing it is to give someone at work a naked picture of yourself, and NOT just because it could fall into the wrong hands. "Naked Picture" is NOT the next logical step after flirting. Have you heard of asking a woman to dinner or at least out for coffee somewhere? What if this woman just likes to flirt for flirting's sake and she doesn't want to "take it up a notch"? You put a naked picture in her briefcase and she can nail you for sexual harassment. Sure, you could counter that the two of you engaged in mutual flirting, but that's just your word against hers. A naked picture is tangible evidence. Get your resume in order and don't expect a reference from the boss man. There's a chance you can get through this unscathed, but you'll still probably want to look for a new job because of the awkwardness of the situation. I have read your other questions and you do not even have over 100 points. I have seen the TV show once that you are referring to. Nice try! I'd say your dilemma is justice for sexually harrassing the secretary. Just to be clear. It would NEVER be appropriate to slip a naked pic of yourself into someone's briefcase. thats a super funny joke and would make a great movie!!!! You don't. you resign. |
