What does a recruitment resourcer do?

What are the main roles and responsibilities of a recruitment resourcer??

Depends a little on the company, but a sourcer finds the names and contact info for specialties that they are actively recruiting for.

For example, if a hot job opening comes up for a telecom sales person, a sourcer would look at the local competition and find names and phone numbers for the recruiter to contact.

Sometimes a sourcer contacts the people, but often not. Source(s): Years in staffing (and sometimes sourcing!)
Same thing as human resources, only they actively "recruite" people for jobs rather than waiting for them to come around
You short list a group of applicants. Many times you initially screen them to see if they are qualified to go through the interview process. Sometimes you do one interview. Then the manager of the department interviews the acceptable applicants again for a final decision. (At least where I work, that is how it is done).
Many companies/banks expect you to have a certificate/diploma in Human Resources.
