Is 50$ dollars to much to pay for..............? |
resume? I want start my own resume writing company. My add starts running tomorrow for 14 days. Is 50 dollars to much? I have to disagree with the other posters. $50 is not too high for "writing not typing" a resume. You have to show you are skilled at first interviewing the client in order to find out what their skills, etc. are and they need to communicate what the employer is looking for. Then comes the hard part, the actual writing of the resume. This is not easy as many clients have a difficult time analyzing their own selves. $30 gets you a "typed" standard resume. $75 and up gets you "the job!" Have faith in yourself and your abilities, have a sample portfolio of your work to show them. Use a tape recorder in the interview process so that you don't miss anything. well it is a little pricey...I mean..anyone could write a resume...if it looks really good then maybe...do you mean writing by hand or typing? I'd say 50 is a bit high, however you never know until you try. Some people MIGHT pay that, you'll just have to see. I'd recommend also posting your ad on your local craigslist. If $50 doesn't do it, I'd try $35. Depending on how much services you offer $ 50 really isn't that much money. Considering some Head hunters Charge5 & 6 Figures to get there clients employment... Have you done any research to see how much other companys charge. Also, it depends on how effective your product really is. To you it may be worth $100, to someone else $10. Do a sample test just to see what people think about your work. Then go from there. It depends on how you write and what they want. If you are following some book that lays out a format, your resume is probably going to be ineffective. As one answer said "Anyone can write a resume". The key is not writing one, but writing one that gets results. Today, unless you are published (several) your resume better be 1 - 2 pages, and if the first couple paragraphs don't tell them what they want to know, it gets filed in the trash! For $50. it better look fabulous as well as business suited. For another target audience, If you lower it and plug it towards the college students (like on their bulletin board-you may need special permission), quite a few of them do not write one well or have the time. Try more than one angle. |
