I had a bank face to face interview today - thery said they will get back to me.......................... |
it this a good or bad thing. The man seemed really happy with me and he even took a photocopy of my passport etc. Whats the chance of me getting the job? It could go either way. In any case keep preparing yourself as if you think it was a no. That will keep you from getting discouraged and primed to go out and get the next one. I would say less than 40% A we will get back with you answer is never good. Call them back and inquire about it. possibly..good. they will all seem happy with you, they all say they will get back to you. Would expect them to say we are not happy with you. Even if you didn't do good they wouldn't say that because that would be rude and not professional. They will get back to you means rather you get the job or not they will let you know. However with that said they don't have to let you know that you didn't get it. So if you hear nothing for a month you can guess you didn't get it. Send him a email or thank you letter. Be brief. State that you are interested in the position and thank him for the interview. Job recruiters love this. If he seemed really happy with you you may have a chance of getting the job. Unfortunately they also always say they will get back to you it is just a formality. I have had jobs say they would get back to me either they never did or would call to say that they offered someone else the job. It can go both ways. Keep you head up high and do not worry. If they do not get back to you either when they said they would or in a few days it is okay to give them a call. Always send a follow up letter saying thank you for the interview it will score you points. A good website to go to for facts like these is Monster.com. I hope I helped. Good luck! I'm not sure of the chance of getting the job. It really depends on the employer, they may have other interviewees lined up and not want to make a decision right away. I would definately send a follow up thank you for taking the time to interview me, blah blah blah (Minus the blahs of course) and a follow up phone call.
