How do you a plan your typical day at work?

How do you a plan your typical day at work?

I start the day before: anything pending at the end of the day takes priority first thing in the morning, after daily am tasks and meeting with my supervisor. Then I follow through with the tasks needed to be done that day, as well as anything else that comes up. By the end of the day, I make up a to-do list for tomorrow, clean up my desk, and set out the pending things next to my list to tackle them first thing in the morning.
Plan your day according to the assignments given to you by your supervisor. Want to look super sharp and stay on the ball carry around a nice notebook to write down your tasks to assist you in prioritizing your time. Extra points, if you see something needs to be done and you are positive you know how to do it and get it done right, don't wait to be asked. The more efficient you are the more likely you will be to get noticed and possibly asked to get a promotion.
I see how many cups of water i can drink a day to kill the time. I got to two gallons once.
TOP 10 LIST. Putting out fires first.
I go in with one or more goals everyday based on priority. Then, at the end of the day, I realize that I have not accomplished a single thing that I had planned. Instead, putting out fires/dealing with phone calls & e-mails/solving other people's problems/helping other people meet their goals for the day/meetings take up the whole freaking day! I should work at night. Wait, I already do that (weekends too many times). Those are the times that I can actually get my stuff done.
I have a checklist for the daily tasks that I made up myself. Other unforeseeable tasks that pop up throughout the day are added to it. Before I call it a day, I double check the list to make sure that everything is done. I often e-mail clients rather than call them as this takes up less time.
