What's the best way to make a good impression to get a job? |
What's the best way to make a good impression to get a job? 1. Come prepared - Bring a resume and the names and information for three references. 2. Research the company you are interviewing with so you can ask good questions. Make sure you can think of at least two good questions to ask about the position you are interviewing for or the company. 3. Arrive 10 minutes early. Allow yourself enough time for parking or transportation problems. Do not arrive late. 4. Make sure clothing looks neat and professional. Better to be overdressed than underdressed. Shoes do not have to be new, but they should be polished. 5. Bring and use breath mints or tic tacs. Carry a tissue, just in case you need one. Bring a pen. Wear a watch. 6. Do not wear strong cologne or perfume. 7. Ladies: Simple or minimal jewelry. Nothing that jingles, i.e., earrings or bracelets. I like these things, too, but not for an interview. 8. Exude confidence, like you know the position is already yours, and have a strong handshake. 9. Be a good listener, but pay attention to the breaks in the conversation that let you know when to interject a good question. 1.Past employments(if none, any volunteer work counts)2.Any job related skills you might have.3.Knowing your personal strengths.4.Areas that you've succeeded in.5.Possitive attitude 6.Clean appearance...DRESS TO IMPRESS! have a well written resume, know your resume, know their job ad/ description . dress to impress don't be late. smile when appropriate . shake hands. be warm / nice. go in there to get the job. don't leave with out getting it. assuming you want it / choose carefully. |
