Is it wrong to secret shop on job applicants? |
I am looking for employees for my grand opening. But if people know im the founder they will put there best face on. Whlie woorking for other Founders when asking people you have the fill out the appts. here they where so upset about it which is a big sigh. I want to see there respons on Sex(male or female boss) Racial(differant from there own) Speech(some whom not speaking english well) what is your answer? I dont really think the Sex or Race matters at all for job applicants. What I did notice if you arelooking for employees and how they truely act. Be at the front desk when they come in and look like a receptionist- I sat at the front desk of my job but I wasn't the receptionist, and some of the applicants would be all rude to the front person and not expect them to be interviewing them. You can tell when they walk in the front door if they are worth the job or not! Dont think to much on the sex or the race of their bosses or who they are- Speech on the otherhnd if they have to answer phones or deal with customers I'd hope they have good grammer and all of that- Good Luck with your company and hope all goes well! I don't think its wrong. You want your business to succeed. In order for that to happen you need to know that you have good trustworthy employees. I'm not sure what sort of business you have, but a "grand opening" suggests a retail establishment. Posing as the receptionist is good, but some people will put their best face on even at that stage because they already know one of the following are true: (1) The receptionist is very loyal to the company and will therefore report any negativity to the hiring authority. (2) The receptionist is actually the hiring authority posing as the receptionist. (3) They could be on "candid camera". Hidden security camera at the receptionist's desk. (4) The hiring authority is within earshot of the receptionists's desk. A smart candidate will be on professional behavior the moment they walk into the employer's building. Ideas: You could pose as a potential candidate, assumming there will be more than one candidate at a time showing up to fill out an application. You could also hire a temp to pose as a candidate but they are actually "pre-screening" them. I'm the admin where I work. When candidates come in I watch for negative comments, bad attitude, etc. If I think the candidate might cause a problem down the road I always inform the hiring authority. check this link its good http://workathomefreelancingdataentrywor... . |
