I just took a typing test for an admin job. Is 48 wpm with no errors good or bad? It's considered Average but not bad. You might want to try increasing it to between 60 - 80 wpm that is standard. But good job and good luck I would say its avg 48 WPM with 0% errors should be sufficient for most any employer to consider hiring you. Good luck with the job! That's pretty good. No errors carries a lot of weight. Some companies may want a higher wpm, but still you should get work. Its quite good but it needs more improvement, just type again and again and time comes you will already type 120 to 250 words per minute, trust me, its just some kinda practicing. It will satisfy most employers! If that was the deciding factor, it most certainly won't keep you from getting the job. I believe that is pretty average...for a touch typist. For government positions it is required to type 40 wpm...and that is the bare minimum. Find a website with a free typing tutorial and practice typing. If you practice, over time your speed will improve. |
