Tired of back stabing at work place, what to do? |
after working at this place for more than 10 yrs, there's a lot of back stabing, accusation etc.... what can i do, resign or continue? i'm in my late thirties! Office politics, backstabbing, etc are negative activities that happen in all organisation. The causes of these are mainly insecurity and incompetency of that particular individual or groups. If you are able to perform your required task diligently then you should not need to be bothered with these. To any management, an ounce of effort put on the actual work by the employee far out weights the tonnes of effort another employee put into office politics. Stand tall and just focus on your work on hand. I don't think its wise to resign just because of these backstabbing issues. You might land yourself in another environment that's even worse than your current situation. Mind your own business and do the right thing! it happens everywhere. get over it, stop associating with the idiots and work hard. I just found a new job and quit my last job for the same reason. You won't be judged based on your age for a new position so don't worry about that part. I just kept to myself and secretly went on interviews until I found the right job for me! I love my new job! Talk with the management, and let them know you like your job and would like to continue working there but not under the same conditions. If they are worth their pay they will handle the situation properly and give you peace of mind. If not, it's probably better for you to move into a better work environment, this sort of thing is childish and you should not be subject to that at work. It's everywhere, no matter what job you choose. At least you know your poison and who is the most venomous. Just stay away from the trouble makers, gossipers etc. And whatever you do don't participate or volunteer any info to feed into their sick and evil ways. Learn how to spell for starters. |
