Accounting clerk - please help? |
Accounting clerk? I have my bachelor's degree in Accounting, but have not yet had an accounting job. (I just graduated in DEC). I have to go take an "accounting clerk" test for a hiring agency I am working with. What will I be tested on for this test? What are the basic duties of an accounting clerk? Please Help - I live in Hawaii and im near desperate for a job at this point. I am from NY/NJ area and compared to home - the job market out here is HORRIBLE! I actually just took a test like this 3 weeks ago. You will be asked basic accounting principle questions. Also, I did a small bank reconciliation, petty cash records. They will probably ask you alot of things concerning Accounts Payable and Receivable. Review what payment terms mean. Know your debts and credit. (Does revenue usually have a debit or credit balance. Answer Credit) I found a couple of practice tests on line. But since you just graduated, you may not need to refresh you mind. Good Luck in the job search. probably just basic accounting questions, similar to a low level accounting course quiz. move back to the mainland i just got a job as an accounting clerk......... i never took any test, frankly the whole hiring agency thing seemed weird to me....they will do regular basic accounting and maybe some exel work......... really if you want a job, try to avoid the middle man. And if you want a job so desperately apply to things you dont have experience for and stand out in your interview. Ask the question in google. You'll be suprise to all the information you'll find.
