Can you give me tips on how to organize my training folder? |
I have gotten way behind and now my folder is up for review. Where do I start? I have to organize all my training into some sort of order and I don't even know where everything is! Please help! Take some time out (even your own time if you have to) and read through your folder. As you read, you'll begin to get a feel for things that are important vs things that are just "good to know". Create tabs in your folder that make sense to you (you can use colored paper to separate sections if you want). Put the most important, or things you struggle with the most, right up front. Then, the rest can fall behind. Without any more info on requirements, this is what I would do. If it's your training folder, it should be most useful to you, and follow a pattern that makes sense to you. As it is being reviewed, be prepared to state why you have organized it in the manner you've chosen. Use statements like "I am struggling with remembering these steps, so I put this up front" or "this information is key to my job, so I have it here"...etc. If this is a job you care about keeping, put forth the extra effort to get this part right, even if it means doing a little "homework" on your own. Initiative is pure GOLD in the work-a-day world. Source(s): 25+ years Admin & Support experience start with labeling sections |
