What do you do? |
I have two female bosses. They are also the owners so there's no one else to turn to. Plus they are related by marriage and go on family trips together. I have been employed by the two of them for 3 years. I do my job quite well and all of our clients really like me. I'm never late and never miss work. One of the women acts as if she is literally possesed by the devil. You never know what mood its going to be in and most of the time you are walking on egg shells around her. She is constantly rainsing her arms over little things and shouting obcenities. Nothing is ever quite good enough and if she's having a bad day then everyone pays big! My question is this. How do I handle her and still keep my dignity? She's a complete bully and if I stand up to her I will be terminated. Is there anything I can do besides quit? She's starting to make me a nervous wreck and affecting my health. start looking for another job as its easier to find a job WHILE you ARE employed and do not let that woman treat you that way, no one deserves that, PERIOD! just ignore her if possible and dont let her get a rise out of you. I feel for you as that is horrible! but all in all look for another job asap! and good luck! plus you cant change her and you cant change her by speaking up if she is related to the other boss, your stuck, sorry, and your health is more important than that crap! It's pretty much up to you whether or not you want to put up with their crap. I would look for other jobs - and if you find one, then tell your boss(es) off. I work at a family owned business myself and surprise, surprise - I am looking for another job too. You can't change the family structure - you will lose...do yourself a favor and find another job. Research your next company more carefully. Good luck! Keep in mind you are not in China or N. Korea where you have to work there. It is a free country. Look for job somewhere else. If not, confront politely without using foul language. Do some homework and reference some labor laws that you know of. This could translate to harassment and they do not want state agencies at their door. Write an anonymous letter state that if you continue this behavior, you will report to the state agency. Don't forget to print a letter on a printer. Hand written letter could be trouble for you. |
