Do you practice in front of a mirror before an interview? |
Do you practice in front of a mirror before an interview? yes i do. sometimes i even write what im about to answer. lol. anyways, practicing makes you clear headed with your answers and to observe if your doing uncosnsciously hand gestures and facial expressions. also, having a buddy to have a mock interview wouldnt hurt either. For real, I did and I was able to see myself clearer. It was more apparent to me where/what I could do better. It was a great feedback system. Recording yourself on camera is even better as you can go back and see yourself several times. You'd be surprised to see where and how you can get better. You'd feel more comfortable and prepared during your interview. I'd say just have fun with it. (You can have your friends provide you with feedback if you want to avoid camera. However, recording yourself provides you with much more objective information/feedback. Without recording it, you may argue with your friend about how you performance.) You may/can rehearse in your mind several times. However, it's not the same as actually doing a mock interview/practice. (You can sing/practice a song in your head, I bet it sounds different when you actually sing. It sounds even more different when you record yourself and hear back.) Simply put, if you are serious about the job you are interviewing for, I'd say just go for it and record yourself. Good luck! Yes. And in front of anyone else who will listen to me and make constructive remarks about my delivery. I also like when my friends ask questions that could be asked in an interveiw. After all, what harm is there in practicing for an interview? I would think the harm would be in not practicing! no but do what ever helps! |
