What are your thoughts on pre-populated income tax returns?


This is where the Govt collects income and deductions info from employers, banks and other institutions. You then get a form already filled out and you just check its accuracy and make any changes.

I think it would be a good idea. It would certainly make it easier and quicker to lodge and it would catch all those tax cheats who cost the law-abiding citizens extra money.
