Definition of different taxes pleas.. anyone?


different types of taxes in Australia.. i need definitions.. the ones like income tax or GST about 7 major of them.. it doesnt matter whether its business or inidividual

PAYE - pay as you earn, on a wage/salary
Capital Gains Tax - tax on appreciation of an asset
Stamp Duty - State government tax on the buying/selling of an asset
Petrol Tax - a tax used for infrastructure development
Company Tax - Tax on a companys profit
Airport Departure Tax - tax for airport development
GST - indirect (but very profitable) tax on all goods and services sold as a finished product

Oh God - the list never ends !!!
