What arguments did england use to justify its attempts to tax the colonist? I think most of the colonists where using money and resources of England residents. The Crown was therefore able to control more easily that money not by controlling the colonists, but by controlling the money that went in and out from the investors with foreign enterprises. So there was no need justify it, just apply it to a specific context. The same arguments that the US government have today. i don't know |
