How come centrelink says your a low income earner but when it comes to school fees you aren't?

the australian federal government in says you are on low income, the state government, when it comes to school fees says you are not. whats going on. either you are or your not, low income earners are not ment to pay school fees, but they seem to get away with it don't they.

Yes that does seem very unfair and frustrating. Sounds typical of Centrelink. Just wait 'til you go back and a different, but equally as grumpy 'customer service' officer tells you something totally different to what the last Centrelink person told you about the same issue.
Some schools have payment schemes for school fees, where you can pay a little bit each week, which can help parents afford the school fees. Maybe have a chat with the office staff at the school, and they may be able to sort something better out for you. Maybe that will help?
