Liberty Tax Service is a United States-based company specialized in the preparation of tax returns for individuals and small businesses. It was founded by John Hewitt in 1997, after he sold off his interest in rival Jackson Hewitt.
As of 2006, Liberty Tax Service was the fastest-growing international tax preparation firm in the world, with some 2,000 offices in the U.S. and Canada.
