Can I get my NZ tax back whilst I am in the UK?

I grew up in New Zealand, and therefore I still have a bank account there which is generating considerable interest. My question is whether I can claim back the tax that I am paying on this interest.

I am currently residing in the UK. I have been here for over three years and have no plans to return to New Zealand EVER (aside from for a vacation). I am obviously paying tax in the UK on my salary and on any interest which I earn over here.

I'd be grateful for any advice you could give me. I've had a brief look at the IRD website and it is very little help, so I can't be bothered looking into it any further if I'm not going to get anything out of it.

Well if you "Can't be bothered" to look into it, why should anyone else waste their time doing so;
You should be declaring your worldwide earnings (including any overseas interest) to the Inland Revenue and your tax should be calculated accordingly.

The UK has a double taxation agreement with NZ, so you shouldn鈥檛 have to pay tax in both countries.
