Your tax return is due for filing in Canada on April 30.
If you do not file by that date and you owe taxes you will be fined for not filing on time and be subject to interest on the due amount until it is settled.
If you beleive that you will get money back, you need to file your tax return to be able to claim the refund. If you file late and you do not owe taxes there will be no late penalty or interest but your refund will be delayed.
Try filing on line and you will get your refund within a week.
You better check the deadline again.
They are due on April 15th this year the 17th. You will not get penalized for filling late if you are getting a refund
April 15th!!!!
No, if you are getting a refund, you do not need to file by the regular deadline. The Revenue Canada site specifically states that the 30th deadline is if you OWE money.

It doesn't help to file late - they will not accrue interest until your taxes are received/processed (I forget which).

You are best off doing them as soon as possible though to get your refund earlier.
