What is an average price I should pay for an accountant to do my taxes? Some write-offs and losses.?

Around $300, unless you own your own business. Hourly charges apply. I know quite a few accountants.
Seriously, go to Block. It's not cheap but you they are thorough and will back their people that prepare your taxes.
If you only have w-2's, try to do the tax on your own by following the instruction booklet. Those booklets are actually meant for the average people to do their taxes. You can download the forms and instructions via www.irs.gov.
It should not exceed $100.
