I go to school in Canada but am a US resident and this is the first time that I'm filing taxes. I go back to the US in the summers - do you think they'd sent the rebate there?
I would certainly think so. I was in the reverse situatio of being a Canadian resident living in the US. My first year down there, I filed Canadian taxes and all correspondence was sent correctly to my US permanent address.
Short answer for any type of tax-related question here - all the tax folks care about is that you send in your taxes (not trying to be sarcastic here). As long as you do that, there is a fair bit of lattitude in what is done after that. |
