Who pays for sports stadiums, stadiums for pro teams such as the Air Canada centre in Toronto?


I want to know who pays for stadiums, is it the tax payers or is it the teams or do they split the cost. I need this info for a project. I have to argue both sides of this topic: 鈥淲HO PAYS FOR STADIUMS TAX PAYERS or THE TEAM, ARGUE BOTH SIDES, THE GOOD AND THE BAD鈥?I need a bunch of examples.
