Do I have to pay income tax?

Is a natural person, as defined by Black's Canadian Legal Dictionary, working under private contract subject to the income tax act?

If I have to pay taxes, you have to 2.........
Only if they catch you
Yes. Everybody does.
You either have to pay in Canada or in the US. If you pay in Canada you get a refund of US Tax or visa versa. I would clarify your situation because not paying taxes is serious in both places. Finally I can promise you that the person paying you will take your salary as a tax deduction which will require them to give your info to the IRS.

Personal Experience
that is called subcontracting in the US wherein you are a independent contractor ...the independent contractor would pay income tax.. and the subcontractor supply would not...the IRS(tax people) really watches this action because of abuse.....
been a independent contractor and was audited
