Help me!!! i need info on taxes!! please!!!?


why do we have to pay taxes?

because we have OHIP, if you live in ontario.
we don't have to pay for our doctors appointments and that's what the taxes are going towards.
Every country has infrastructure, services, welfare programs etc etc. Someone has to pay for it and that is where taxes come into play. Taxes are one of the government's sources of income.
The gov't implemented taxes as an temporary way of getting money during WW11. From what I have read and heard legally we don't have to pay taxes. Unfortunately, the minute we ask for a SIN # and start filing tax returns we have given the gov't the ok that we will pay taxes. On the internet there used to be a site that would give you all the information on this. I actually worked with a lady and her husband doesn't pay taxes. The problem with this is unless you pay cash for everything you can never get credit from a bank because you don't have any returns to prove income. Do some research online you will be surprised what you find.
