As a self employed person and a website designer. What should I be charging as Canadian Tax .i.e GST or PST?

And how do I go about paying it to the goverment?

Please reply

You will have to register for a GST/HST account with the Canada Revenue Agency. Your reporting period depends on your revenue. I worked for a small business with about 100 empolyees and we had to remit our GST quarterly. When you get your account you will be sent remittance forms. A good resource is the revenue agency website:
www.cra-arc.gc.ca
You should find everything you need to get started there. Source(s): work experience
you need to register your business with the government and they will
let you know what you need to do. As far as the taxes i think both. Ministry
of Finance will let you know.
