Can an immigrant to Canada bring a new car tax free when registration?


Hello,

I will immigrate from the U.S. to Canada soon, and I am thinking of purchasing a new car and driving into Canada. Will I have to pay the import tax when I enter Canada? Also, will I have to pay the tax when I register the car? I will land in Vancouver, BC.
