Why do you believe that the political environment can be managed at micro-level by individual firms ? I don't believe this. Any company attempting this, even companies as large as Exxon-Mobile, can easily be overridden by something as unexpected as a popular trend. Examples: Exxon-mobile has no control over terrorist organizations, whose activities drive the price of oil up in the futures market. Exxon-mobile also has no control over the popular response in the form of demands for alternative fuels, congressional investigations, and people switching from oil heating to electric or something else. "People" actually have nearly complete control over politics, and that's why both politicians and companies alike seek our approval so energetically. Shibboleth is part of the problem and dosent quite how the world works yet and thats sad...the united states government is already run by individual firms and are catered to.... to the nth degree....a very small number of companies run the world and until the masses demand change there will be none...the politicians just are there to absorb the yelling from both sides of the fence...there has been alot of yelling lately but the solution is not in bio-fuel its in the sun...and electric powered cars not combustible engines... |
